About the position
ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A is seeking to hire a Group Technical Buyer to join our growing team:
Main responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select technical materials, equipment, and services to meet business and project needs.
- Manage reliable suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and compliant procurement.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, production, and QA to align purchasing with specifications, timelines, and operational requirements.
- Optimize costs through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and lead-time management.
- Monitor supplier risks, ensure business continuity, and implement contingency plans.
- Support ISO, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as needed
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in a technical purchasing or procurement engineering role
- Prior work experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is strongly required
- Solid understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for business and technical communication
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex procurement workflows
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
