Job Position: Procurement Specialist:

The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in the procurement function, leading a specific commodity or a set of commodities within the organization. They are responsible for effectively managing the commodity spend, optimizing procurement benefits, and ensuring strong supplier relationships. This role is accountable for supplier contracts and performance management within the designated commodity area.

 Job Description:

• Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for the assigned commodity or commodities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and conduct spend analysis using data-driven assessments to get deep insight in cost structures, identify opportunities for cost savings, value generation, and process efficiencies, within the commodity portfolio.
• Develop and implement commodity strategies to optimize procurement benefits, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Own and nurture relationships with selected suppliers within the commodity portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for supplier engagement and collaboration.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with suppliers to secure terms and conditions according to the strategic priorities of the organization.
• Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations, taking proactive measures to address issues and drive improvements.
• Manage supplier contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, terms, and conditions, and enforce contractual obligations to safeguard the organization's interests.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to mitigate contract risks and ensure contractual compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including commercial, operations, finance, and supply chain teams, to align procurement strategies with business needs and customer requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to support organizational initiatives and/or drive continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Required Knowledge & Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on commodity management.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and procurement best practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders demonstrating a customer centric mindset.
• High level of integrity and ability to explicitly demonstrate a professional approach in all supplier interactions and meet highest ethical standards.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent knowledge of English language (written and oral)
