Gefsinus is one of the largest contract catering companies, operating in the field of F&B management in Greece. The company employs 1.200 people and has 4 production units, including an ultra-modern one of 10.000 sq.m. at Krioneri - Attica, which has been built according to the International and European standards.
The company specializes in covering the catering needs of educational institutes, companies, industrial facilities, hospitals, military installations, sports institutes, and other establishments, cooperating with more than 70 clients, and managing 120 units all over Greece.
Gefsinus is serving daily 70.000 people and specializes in three types of activities:
- Production of meals in the CPU and delivery to clients
- Operation of F&B restaurants in the client’s premises
- Planning & execution of corporate events
We are currently seeking a Buyer (Heavy Food-Related Equipment) to join the Purchasing team and play a key role in managing work associated with planning, selecting, and purchasing quantities of goods and merchandise.
His/her responsibilities will be focused in the following areas:
- Liaise with existing suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Source and build relations with new suppliers
- Monitor market changes, competitor prices, and products
Desired qualifications:
- At least 3 years of working experience in purchasing Heavy Equipment (Food Industries)
- Knowledge in light equipment & heavy machinery is essential
- Knowledge of imports procedures will be highly appreciated
- Knowledge of food materials (Raw and processed) is considered an asset
- Familiar with ERP systems, preferably Entersoft
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in English, both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure (time management)
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office
