Responsibilities 

• Demand Forecasting: Analyse sales history, market trends, and pertinent factors to create precise demand forecasts, predicting future product/service demand. 
• Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock, collaborating with inventory control teams. 
• Collaborative Planning: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with production schedules and streamline supply chain activities. 
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process enhancements to boost forecasting accuracy and inventory management efficiency. 
• Risk Management: Anticipate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to ensure meeting customer demand under various scenarios. 
• Reporting & Insights: Generate regular reports on demand planning metrics, offering insights and recommendations based on these analytics. Effectively communicate demand forecasts and related information to stakeholders across various departments. 
• Market Analysis: Monitor market conditions and industry trends affecting demand and supply chain operations. 

Requirements 

• University degree (preferably in Finance/ Supply Chain field) 
• Fluency in English language is a pre-requisite 
• 5-8 years of proven experience in Demand Planning (or a related role) in Super Market/ Groceries Industry.
• Thorough understanding of the vendors and wholesale landscape within the industry is imperative.
• Ability to establish and maintaining a comprehensive and updated database of potential suppliers
• Skilled in strategically identifying and collaborating with the most appropriate suppliers.
• Relevant training or certifications as a Demand Planner (preferred). 
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices. 
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
