We are looking for talented individuals to join our growing Digital News Teams as News Multimedia Social Media Editors. With a prestigious portfolio of well-known news brands and a rapidly expanding audience, we are committed to delivering real-time updates, exclusive stories, tailored content, and insightful analysis across all digital platforms.

As a News Multimedia Social Media Editor, you will play a key role in managing and growing our social media presence across platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You’ll be responsible for creating and editing compelling multimedia content, sharing breaking news updates, and collaborating with editorial teams to enhance audience engagement and interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and edit engaging, high-quality static and audiovisual content for social media based on breaking news, trends and in-depth reporting.
• Develop and implement social media strategies to grow our digital audience and boost engagement.
• Collaborate closely with journalists and editorial teams to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent content delivery.
• Monitor and respond to audience interactions in a timely and professional
• manner.
• Use analytics tools to track content performance and optimize based on data-driven insights.
• Stay current with breaking news and social media trends to keep our platforms relevant and responsive.
• Plan and manage social media calendars, especially around high-impact news events.
• Handle multiple projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic newsroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
• 1–3 years of experience in a newsroom or as a social media editor, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Kapwing, CapCut, and other content creation/editing software.
• Familiarity with platforms like Meta Business Suite, TikTok Studio, and AI-powered tools for content creation and optimization.
• Deep understanding of social media trends, storytelling techniques, and video optimization.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
