Responsibilities:

• Monitors the national and European regulatory and legislative framework related to Sustainable Development, with the aim of shaping appropriate targets and strategies
• Collects and analyzes data to support the planning and implementation of appropriate actions to improve sustainability performance
• Coordinates studies and assessments of environmental and climate impacts and evaluates the exposure of specific facilities or projects to climate-related risks
• Collaborates with the relevant Departments to integrate risk prevention and mitigation measures at facility or project level and supports the monitoring of their implementation
• Studies and evaluates international Sustainable Development initiatives and agreements in order to identify potential company commitments, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Strategy and Action Plan
• Supports the overall management of specific projects of significant scale and complexity through the development and application of relevant strategies and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or an Engineering Diploma
• Master’s degree in the fields of Energy, Environment or Sustainable Development will be considered an additional qualification
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in climate and environmental risk analysis, impact assessment and data evaluation, as well as in sustainability studies and ESG reporting supporting strategic decision-making
• Experience in the energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors or in consulting (where such experience has been gained through projects in the above sectors) will be considered an additional qualification
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data management, with familiarity in the use of relevant tools (e.g. Excel, Python or specialized risk modeling tools)
• Certified training/education in Project Management will be considered an additional qualification
• Certified training in Sustainable Development/Sustainability will be considered an additional qualification
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability for urgent geographical relocations
