Senior Welding Engineer

Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Senior Welding Engineer to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.
By joining this role, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of welding processes through the development and implementation of procedures, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives, in line with production requirements and industry standards.
Your role will encompass:
• Developing, documenting, and optimizing welding procedures and processes.
• Monitoring and ensuring proper implementation of welding plans during production.
• Analyzing and resolving technical issues and welding defects, proposing effective improvement solutions.
• Collaborating with Quality Control and other departments to investigate non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Providing technical guidance, training, and supervision to welders and technical personnel.
• Selecting appropriate materials, welding methods, and consumables to optimize cost and performance.
• Ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and production timelines.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding efficiency and product quality.
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment (experience in heavy industry or defense sector is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards, and procedures (e.g. WPS, WPQR).
• Experience in welding inspection and quality control methodologies.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of materials and welding consumables.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
