In this role, you will lead impactful initiatives across mobile, core, and fixed networks, driving innovation to reduce energy consumption while maintaining high performance standards. Working closely with engineering teams, vendors, and global stakeholders, you’ll contribute to strategic projects that support Vodafone’s sustainability goals and deliver measurable results across markets.
What you’ll do :
Drive energy efficiency initiatives across Mobile (RAN), Core and Fixed networks, ensuring continuous reduction of energy consumption while maintaining network performance and alignment with Vodafone Group energy targets.
More specifically, you will:
• Lead and coordinate energy efficiency initiatives across RAN, Core and Fixed domains, in line with Vodafone specifications
• Identify energy saving opportunities, assess technical feasibility, and support business cases and ROI evaluations
• Support energy forecasting, target setting, and KPI definition for network energy consumption
• Track performance and savings using KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and Group stakeholders on cross market initiatives
Who you are:
• Technical background in Mobile RAN (2G–5G, radios, baseband, RAN energy saving features) with focus on energy impact
• Solid understanding of Core and Fixed networks (access, aggregation, transmission) and their main energy drivers
• Analytical mindset with ability to work on data, KPIs, and performance tracking
• Able to work cross functionally and translate technical topics into clear, actionable insights
• Proactive, results driven, and aligned with Vodafone engineering and sustainability objectives
Please note that the successful candidate will be employed through a trusted external partner collaborating with Vodafone, under a fixed-term contract. While not directly employed by Vodafone, you will work closely with the Vodafone team and contribute to its dynamic and innovative environment.
