If yes, we are looking for a Risk Technology Specialist to join our Team, focusing on the development and maintenance of risk management and decisioning systems. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong JavaScript skills and a solid technical background. Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
What You Get To Do In This Role:
- Develop and maintain risk systems and decision engines, using JavaScript (Node.js or frameworks) and related technologies.
- Build and support APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines connecting internal and external systems.
- Translate risk methodologies (e.g. scorecards, rules) into technical solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning for production systems, ensuring efficiency and reliability of risk management systems.
- Support testing, deployment, and environment configuration processes across development lifecycle stages.
- Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders, including risk analysts, business users, and IT teams.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution, ensuring timely execution of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions, presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Maintain technical documentation and support audit and compliance requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to risk management and leverage this knowledge to enhance our risk technology infrastructure.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in software development, with a focus on risk management or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (mandatory).
- Experience working with production systems, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, or C# is a plus.
- Experience with databases (SQL / NoSQL) and system integrations (REST APIs).
- Experience in banking or financial services is a strong advantage.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
