With a history dating back to 1987, the hotel features 340 rooms and a team of 250 professionals and trainees, providing high-quality services in a stunning natural setting.
We are currently seeking a Reservations Agent to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Management and prompt handling of reservation requests from guests, travel agencies, or other partner networks via email, telephone, or the central reservation system.
- Excellent knowledge of the hotel product, rate structure, and the Group’s commercial policy.
- Monitor and update room inventory, rates, and restrictions across all connected platforms via the Channel Manager, ensuring rate parity and accuracy at all times.
- Optimise the hotel’s presence across all online distribution channels (OTAs, Website, metasearch engines) to maximise visibility and conversion rates.
- Develop and implement promotional offers, packages, and upselling strategies (e.g., early booking discounts, room upgrades) to drive revenue.
- Handle and actively increase direct bookings through the hotel’s website, phone, and email channels, reducing dependency on third-party platforms.
- Apply payments/advance deposits from guest to their accounts. Check postings from day prior to ensure accurate posting. Prepare special billings.
- Collaboration with the Front Office team to provide personalized guest services and coordinate additional requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar position within a hotel environment will be considered an asset.
- Good level proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and channel manager software (Webhotelier).
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, use of AI applications).
- Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of a second foreign language will be considered an additional asset.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
- Strong negotiation and effective communication skills.
- Initiative-taking with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in demanding situations.
- Team spirit and collaborative mindset.
