We are recruiting a Barista for Kafeneio Deli who can deliver high-quality coffee while creating a friendly and welcoming environment for our guests. The role requires attention to detail, consistency and speed, combined with a warm and professional attitude. A genuine interest in coffee culture and guest interaction will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a courteous manner, take orders and serve with accuracy, while demonstrating upselling techniques.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages.
- Organize and prepare the mise en place at all bar sections, in a timely manner and according to brand standards. Check daily the stock retail products and refill stations according to operational needs.
- Must be able to work under pressure and high volume operation effectively and seamlessly
- Ensure all equipment is clean and properly functioning, as well as ensure the cleanliness of the BOH.
- Follow all SOPs to ensure operational excellence and ensure brand standards are followed at all times.
- Follow all H&S rules, SOPs and Brand Standards at all times.
- Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 2 years’ experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
- Excellent knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques, along with selling and upselling skills.
- Speak, write and converse freely in English. Knowledge of Greek, German and/or Russian language is an advantage.
- Have good computer skills. Good knowledge of MICROS and POS systems.
- H&S, Brand Standards and Company procedures knowledge is highly preferred.
- Be a great communicator who allures guests from all over the world, with enviable customer service skills. Set the example with your proper communication etiquette (both written and spoken) towards internal and external guests
- Have unflappable temperament and professional integrity. Be an inspiring team player.
