Kids Club Attendant

The Role:

The Kids Club Attendant at Domes' Kids Club is dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our young guests by providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role demands not only expertise in entertaining and educating children but also a strong focus on ensuring their safety and well-being. The Kids Club Attendant collaborates closely with other team members and is primarily responsible for managing activities, ensuring the children's care and safety, and offering support to parents throughout their stay.

Some of the responsibilities:

Activity Facilitation & Child Supervision

• Always monitor and ensure the safety of the children. This includes maintaining an active presence during activities, supervising play, and being alert to any potential hazards or conflicts.
• Plan and lead a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, sports, and educational programs. There must be activities adapted to be age-appropriate and engaging for the children.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children. This involves setting clear expectations, addressing conflicts, and reinforcing appropriate behavior.

Care & Supervision of children

• Ensure children’s safety by enforcing strict safety guidelines and maintaining constant supervision during activities.
• Provide personalized attention and care to foster confidence and encourage positive social interactions among children.
• Address any challenges or issues that arise during activities, such as child anxiety or conflicts between children.

Enforcement of Domes Policies & Regulations

• Adherence to Domes' Kids Club Rules and Regulations, such as pick-up and drop-off times, safety and hygiene rules, and policies for monitoring and parental acceptance of children.
• Reporting any emergencies (e.g., accident, injury, allergic reaction) to the Department Head and parents.

Communication with Parents

• Communicating with parents about their children's Kids Club activities and progress, while listening to their needs and providing any necessary assistance.
• Providing information to parents about the Kids Club schedule, hours of operation, opportunities for extra services (i.e. babysitting, field trips, etc.) as well as communicating Kids Club safety protocols.

Useful to have:

• Degree or Diploma in Education / Nursery teacher / Nursery assistant / Nursery assistant or similar.
• Previous experience in a similar position of at least 1 year.
• Knowledge of children's developmental stages, age needs and appropriate toys/activities for each age group.
• Knowledge of safety and hygiene rules to protect children and avoid accidents.
• A very good knowledge of the English language is essential.

• A strong understanding of child development and a genuine interest in working with children are essential. Attendants at Domes Resorts must be empathetic and responsive to the needs of the children.
• Effective communication with both children and parents is crucial as the ideal candidate must be able to convey information clearly and engage in meaningful conversations with both groups.
• Being creative to design engaging activities or find innovative ways to capture children’s interest.
• Competent to build relationships, internal and external, to the hotel and the Company.
