Your Purpose
As an Assortment Optimization Specialist, you will be a key member of the Trade team, working closely with the Commerce Department for optimizing the assortment of FMCG categories inside Alpha Beta stores. The primary focus of your role will be to select the right mix of products to stock. It requires the ability to understand processes and objectives as well as what data is available in order to identify strong and weak points, to spot opportunities and threats, to "marry" a compelling, data-driven "storytelling" assortment strategy and planograms.

What you will focus on

• Gather and analyze internal numerical and market share data
• Analyze consumer behavior and propose the optimum assortment
• Use assortment planning tools
• Collaborate with Category & Sourcing Managers, Buying Directors, Commerce SVP and the Merchandising Department
• Evaluate assortment decisions

Who we are looking for

• BSc in Business Administration or any other relevant field
• MSc / MBA would be considered an asset
• Working experience of at least 2-3 years in Retail Category Management, FMCG Category Analysis, Market Research preferably at a multinational environment
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
