Spa Therapist

The Role:

The Spa Therapist at Domes Resorts provides a range of high-quality spa services, including massages, facials, body treatments, and other wellness therapies, to hotel guests. This role focuses on delivering relaxing, rejuvenating, and therapeutic treatments while creating a luxurious and personalized experience. Spa Therapists are also responsible for maintaining a peaceful, clean, and welcoming spa environment and ensuring that all treatments are conducted professionally and in line with the hotel’s standards.

Some of the responsibilities:

Guest Service Excellence

• Handling guests warmly and professionally, establishing a welcoming and relaxing environment.
• Conduct consultations to understand guests' preferences and any medical concerns or contraindications.
• Personalize treatments based on guests’ needs, preferences, and the spa’s available offerings.

Treatment Delivery

• Provide various massage therapies, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and other techniques as trained and qualified.
• Administer body treatments, such as wraps, scrubs, and other therapies, following the spa’s protocols.
• Perform facials, skin care treatments, and other esthetic services, if qualified and requested.

Sanitation and Cleanliness

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all spa areas are cleaned and sanitized to hotel standards before and after each treatment.
• Regularly check and maintain spa supplies, ensuring they are stocked, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.

Product Knowledge and Upselling

• Demonstrate knowledge of spa products, ingredients, and benefits to recommend appropriate home care products to guests.
• Upsell additional treatments and services where appropriate to enhance the guest experience and achieve sales targets.
• Ensure proper and professional communication with guests regarding any products and treatments.

Useful to have:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in cosmetology, physiotherapy or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience as a spa therapist in a luxury spa, hotel, or wellness center preferred.
• Knowledge of the English language, a second language will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of spa therapies, services, and products.
• Proficiency in various massage and therapy techniques; knowledge of skin care, aromatherapy, and body treatments.
