Role Overview
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager oversees all departmental operations, ensuring the flawless execution of housekeeping services, the attainment of strategic objectives, and the consistent delivery of an elevated luxury guest experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, presentation, and readiness in line with luxury standards.
- Coordinate departmental operations under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager, ensuring all activities adhere to brand standards and operational protocols.
- Maintain all storage areas in an organized, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
- Oversee and manage the internal laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with hygiene standards.
- Actively participate in the training, coaching, and performance monitoring of all housekeeping team members to uphold service excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with brand standards, ISO procedures, and hotel policies, promoting consistent service quality and maximum guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the Front Office team to prioritize room allocation, guest requests, and personalized preferences.
- Work alongside the Maintenance team to maintain rooms and public areas in optimal condition through proactive upkeep and preventive measures.
- Participate actively in departmental and management meetings, contributing operational insights and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or similar role within a 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment.
- Degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are considered a strong asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills, aligned with luxury service standards.
