In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire for the season 2026 an experienced and visionary Food and Beverage Manager.

Position Summary

Our new F&B Manager will be the ambassador of our F&B Service Excellence Culture at our fully renovated resort in Corfu, Alkyna Lifestyle Beach Resort. The F&B Manager will be responsible for supervising and developing the F&B Team, and providing high quality services and memorable experiences to our guests. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all food and beverage operations within the establishment. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, optimizing profitability, and ensuring a positive guest experience. She/he provides and guides the F&B team towards hospitable prompt, courteous and correct service in order to maximize guest satisfaction, outlet revenue and profit, whilst training and assisting the team with the implementation of operational standards as well as rules and guidelines. Exercises strong leadership and coordinates with other departments to maintain our standards of quality, service and facilities in areas he/she has responsibility and authority.

 

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Leadership Development

  • Developing and leading a highly qualified F&B team
  • Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage outlets
  • Regularly inspecting work being performed and ensure that standards are being met and maintained
  • Providing service coordinators with on-the-job training to maintain consistency in service standards
  • Evaluating and appraising the team on a regular basis as per Group policies and filing the respective reports
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing training, guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Listening and guiding as well as demonstrating care with associate well-being in order to maintain a healthy working environment within the outlets, the Hotel and the Company
  • Attending training and meetings when required

Department Operation

  • Manages day-to-day operations, drives quality, and verifies standards are meeting the expectations of the guests daily
  • Managing all Food and Beverage outlet operations
  • Conducting team building and weekly meetings with the F&B Teams and with the Culinary Operations
  • Allocating work schedules for associates to ensure equal distribution of workloads
  • Deciding on staff levels and workforce planning
  • Ensuring operational compliance, based on brand standards
  • Developing menus with other members of Food and Beverage team
  • Streamlining food and beverage operations to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Monitoring and optimizing inventory management and control systems
  • Support quality improvement process throughout the Hotel’s outlets
  • Ensuring that the stations and restaurants are organized in terms of cleanliness and equipment
  • Reporting all maintenance problems
  • Being responsible for maintaining a perpetual inventory of supplies, requisitioning supplies as required and verifying orders when required
  • Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees

Financial Management

  • Analyzing sales data and trends to identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • Maximizing revenue through pricing strategies and upselling techniques
  • Monitoring and managing the revenues and profit achieved by Food and Beverage operation
  • Achieving the yearly budgets and goals

Regulation Compliance and Quality Control

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
  • Being fully familiar with and act upon Food Safety and HACCP regulations and procedures
  • Managing alcohol service and compliance with licensing laws
  • Staying up to date with changing regulations and maintaining necessary permits and licenses
  • Ensuring the consistent quality of food and beverage offerings
  • Establishing and enforcing food safety and sanitation standards
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality audits
  • Ensuring all associates are thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and are in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur

Guest Satisfaction

  • Provides services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and addressing guest feedback and complaints
  • Training staff in hospitality and service standards
  • Evaluating guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Providing full attention and best possible care that every guest to the outlet can be granted


Requirements

  • Holds a relevant degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field
  • Three or more years of proven work experience in the hospitality industry in 5* hotels
  • Prior experience in the food and beverage industry, including supervisory or management roles in restaurants, bars is highly desirable
  • Possessing certifications, such as those in food safety and sanitation, or in the hospitality industry, while not mandatory, can be beneficial
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, administrative, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of staff (chefs, service staff, supervisors), ensuring they work together effectively and provide excellent service
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping, front desk, kitchen and maintenance
  • Displays emotional maturity and sensitivity in dealing with others.
  • Friendly, approachable, and capable of resolving customer issues in a professional manner
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • A second language (French, German, Russian, or Italian) will be considered as a plus 
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as good understanding of wines, cocktails, and other beverages
  • Should be adaptable and able to handle unexpected situations
  • Must be able to work under pressure and minimal direct supervision
  • Flexibility to respond and adapt to a range of different situations, and deliver exceptional levels of guest service
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Pay attention to detail; from checking inventory to ensuring the cleanliness of all F&B areas
  • Stay up to date with regulations and ensure the bar complies with all legal requirements and that all staff follow safety and hygiene protocols
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of relevant PMS software such as Oversight, PROTEL etc., while not mandatory, can be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and revenue management
  • Crisis management, problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Networking and customer orientation
