ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of our client a company that offers comprehensive transport solutions, is seeking a HSE Manager for the company’s projects based in Volos.

🖋️You will be reporting to: Project Management Team / Corporate WHSE Lead
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Workplace Health, Safety & Environmental legal requirements.
- Implement and oversee the company’s WHSE Management System in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Promote, develop, and monitor a strong corporate safety culture through communication, training, and compliance programs.
- Conduct WHSE risk assessments to eliminate or reduce identified hazards.
- Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, and prepare required reports.
- Plan and perform regular WHSE inspections and maintain the annual inspection schedule.
- Manage WHSE documentation, action plans, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper coordination of WHSE activities with external contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Manage WHSE training needs, including induction programs and job-specific training (e.g., working at heights).
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring WHSE certifications and standards are maintained.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in occupational health & safety (3 specializations
- Degree in Environmental Sciences or master’s degree in environmental studies
- Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a WHSE Officer or Coordinator
- Fluency in English and Greek (C1 preferred)
- Spanish language is an asset
- Knowledge of rail safety management techniques and tools
Skills:
- Ability to conduct rail-related quantitative and qualitative risk assessments
- Strong skills in document management, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Ability to collect data, conduct statistical analysis, and evaluate trends
- Experience in conducting process and safety audits
- Skills in identifying WHSE improvements across systems, processes, and products
- Solid understanding of Operational Safety Management Systems
- In-depth knowledge of rail safety legislation and all relevant Greek standards
- Understanding of risk management controls and safety planning
- Strong auditing, inspection, and compliance reporting capabilities
- Ability to exercise authority effectively while maintaining a culture of respect and
