The award-winning The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino are seeking for a Summer Sports Camp Coordinator. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a high-quality summer sports program for children aged 6–12. This role involves overseeing daily camp activities, ensuring children’s safety and providing an engaging, fun, and educational sports experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the daily and weekly activity schedule for the Summer Sports Camp.
- Organize and supervise sports activities such as: Archery, Football (Soccer), Tennis, additional sports or recreational games as assigned.
- Ensure constant supervision of children during all activities.
- Perform daily inspections of sports equipment and facilities.
- Greet children and parents upon arrival and ensure proper check-in/out procedures.
- Communicate camp rules, schedules, and expectations clearly and professionally.
- Maintain attendance records and incident reports.
- Manage equipment inventory and request replacements when needed.
- Motivate children, encourage teamwork, and promote positive sportsmanship.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children (sports camps, coaching, education, recreation)
- Degree or studies in Sports Science, Physical Education, Child Development, or related field
- Experience in hospitality and recreation programs
- Strong knowledge of sports fundamentals, preferably in archery, football, tennis, or similar activities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Teamwork and strong team oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills with children and parents
- High sense of responsibility and safety awareness
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Positive, energetic, and engaging personality
