W Costa Navarino is seeking a Chief Steward. As a Chief Steward, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring that all aspects of the stewarding department operate smoothly and efficiently, by effective planning ,maintaining, storing and issuing.

Responsibilities

• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all areas of the kitchen, including storage and washing areas, comply with health and safety regulations.
• Cleaning Standards: Overseeing the cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Inspection: Conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation protocols.
• Stock Control: Managing the inventory of kitchen supplies, including cleaning agents, utensils, and equipment.
• Ordering Supplies: Ordering necessary supplies and maintaining sufficient stock levels to avoid shortages.
• Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling costs related to supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Regulation Adherence: Ensuring that all operations comply with local and national health and safety regulations.
• Feedback Handling: Addressing any complaints or issues related to the cleanliness or functionality of dining and kitchen areas.
• Scheduling: Creating work schedules for stewarding staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and events.
• Performance Evaluation: Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to staff to foster improvement and development.
• Conflict Resolution: Addressing and resolving any personnel issues that may arise within the department.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Working closely with other departments, such as food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
• Reporting: Preparing and submitting regular reports on departmental activities, performance, and any issues that arise.
• Chief Steward reporting directly to Executive Chef

• 2-3 years of experience as a Chief Steward with International brand experience (Preferred)
• Culinary or Hospitality Management Degree (Preferred)
• Fluency in Greek.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Certification (HACCP & ISO 22000)
• Computer Skills (SAP)
