Invitation for Expression of Interest for Simulated Patients (Sessional)

The Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences at the University of Nicosia Medical School invites expressions of interest (EOI) for Simulated Patients, between the ages of 18 – 75 years of age, with excellent command of the English language at our Athens campus at Elliniko.
What will you do?
You will enact specific roles of patients with different clinical problems (e.g., asthma, back ache, heart problems, etc.) and you will be trained to give direct feedback to medical students on their performance, in a constructive, specific and balanced manner.
Selection Process:
Step 1: Complete and submit your application form the latest by Friday, 10th October 2025. The application form can be downloaded by clicking here.
Step 2: Following the submission of your application form, it will be reviewed and upon successful selection you will be invited to attend a 4-hour training session. You will be informed of the specific date ahead of time.
Step 3: During the 4-hour training session you will learn how the clinical communication sessions are taught as well as how to give feedback to students. You will be provided with written patient scenarios; you will be observed performing these scenarios and you will be evaluated based on your performance.
Step 4: If you successfully complete the training and pass the selection process, the Human Resources Office of the University of Nicosia Medical School, Athens Campus (Elliniko), will contact you to discuss whether you wish to accept the position under the specified terms and conditions.
Step 5: Once you join our team you will be invited to participate in different sessions and Assessments throughout the Academic Year on an ad-hoc basis, based on our demands and your availability.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The ideal candidates should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
