We developed the first and only large-scale Internet of Things infrastructure in Greece, installing thousands of wireless sensors, which we designed and manufactured, on agricultural land. 

NEUROPUBLIC is looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Database Engineer who can immediately take ownership of a leading technical team for the implementation of public sector projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of public sector regulations and technical documentation, combined with strong skills in designing robust and scalable database architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design the overall architecture of a complex public-sector information system.
• Analyze functional requirements derived from legal and regulatory texts and translate them into technical specifications.
• Model robust, scalable, and normalized relational database schemas, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with analysts to understand institutional logic and business rules.
• Ensure technical consistency across development teams and system components.
• Contribute to technical documentation submitted to public authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and relational database design.
• Strong command of relational data modeling principles (normalization, indexing, integrity constraints).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle in production environments.
• Proven ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and public-sector workflows into database structures and application logic.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, modular architecture, and secure software design.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Previous involvement in the public sector or regulated domain projects.
• Experience with geospatial data, agricultural registries, or government portals.
• Working knowledge of Jakarta EE Back-End or Angular/Vue.js front-end environments.
