We developed the first and only large-scale Internet of Things infrastructure in Greece, installing thousands of wireless sensors, which we designed and manufactured, on agricultural land. 

NEUROPUBLIC is seeking a highly skilled SQL/Database Developer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and experience supporting Oracle RDBMS in production environments. This role supports the modernization and integration of critical database subsystems within a public sector setting. You will work closely with analysts, data architects, and low-code application developers to design scalable and performant relational systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for core subsystems.

• Develop UI components via an internal low-code web application creation platform.
• Support modernization and integration of legacy Oracle-based subsystems.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance across high-volume relational systems.
• Collaborate with analysts and architects to translate business and administrative processes into database models.
• Support occasional basic handling of spatial data, such as geometry storage or simple location-based queries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production.
• Proven experience with Oracle RDBMS, including schema interpretation and data migration
• Strong skills in relational modeling (normalization, indexing, stored queries).
• Ability to translate regulatory/business requirements into robust data solutions.
• Comfortable in structured, public-sector development environments.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Basic understanding of spatial data models and PostGIS/Oracle Spatial concepts.
• Experience in modernization of legacy data systems.
• Familiarity with Oracle Forms and migration strategies to modern platforms.
