Are you ready to shape the future of retail talent? We are looking for a People Development Specialist to join our dynamic HR team and support the implementation of strategic development programs that drive performance, engagement, and retention across our organization. In this role, you will support succession planning, internal mobility, career pathing, and high-potential development programs that foster a culture where associates feel valued and empowered.
What you will focus on
Talent Development Planning & Implementation
- Support the development of initiatives that cultivate a high-performance, high-engagement culture.
Assist HR/OD teams with infrastructure readiness for talent mapping, high-potential identification, and career planning. - Help evaluate the organizational structure to identify and prepare internal candidates for future opportunities.
- Maintain a pool of internal talent for succession and future role placements.
- Support implementation of annual development plans for store-based roles (e.g. Department Supervisors, ASM, SM, RMTs).
- Prepare data for promotion decisions, collaborate with HRBPs on Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and manage reporting with HR Analytics.
- Coordinate coaching and mentoring sessions for high-potential candidates.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance the employee experience through competency models, mentoring programs, and career pathing.
- Contribute to the design and facilitation of assessment centers and support assessor training.
Internal Recruitment & Administration
- Oversee internal job postings and interview processes; support internal mobility with tools like psychometric assessments and assessment centers.
- Coordinate internal job requisitions and applicant tracking processes.
- Support internal movements (transfers, promotions) by utilizing appropriate evaluation and selection tools.
- Maintain and manage talent development documentation in collaboration with Shared Services.
HR Policy & Process Development
- Support the design and development of HR policies related to talent development.
- Ensure compliance with internal frameworks and contribute to policy drafting and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, delivering high-quality support in alignment with HR CoE guidance.
- Advise line managers and HRBPs on development programs, tools, and frameworks tailored to current and future talent needs.
Who we are looking for
- BSc in Psychology, Business Administration, or any other relevant field. MSc would be considered as an asset
- 1-3 years of working experience within the talent development field. Any prior experience in designing and delivering Development/ Assessment Centers would be considered as an asset.
- Very good knowledge of English language
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Sufficient knowledge of SAP SF is desirable but not required
