Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented fresh graduate to join our Maritime Operations team as a Junior Shipping Operations Specialist. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a degree in maritime studies or shipping management who are looking to start their career in the maritime and port logistics industry. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating vessel movements, port operations, documentation, and communication with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination of vessel arrivals, berthing schedules, and port operations.

• Support in preparing and reviewing shipping and port-related documents (e.g., port clearance, manifest, bill of lading).

• Liaise with ship captains, port authorities, agents, and terminal operators under the supervision of senior staff.

• Help monitor vessel operations such as loading/unloading, bunkering, and cargo handling.

• Update internal systems with ship movement data and cargo status.

• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company procedures.

• Maintain accurate records and filing of operational documents.

• Provide administrative support to the shipping operations team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, Nautical Science, Logistics, or a related field.

• Recent graduate eligible for full-time employment.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced maritime environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Must have completed military service

Preferred but Not Required:

• Internship experience in a shipping company, port, or maritime agency.

• Familiarity with maritime terms (ETA, NOR, cargo manifest, laytime, demurrage).

• Basic knowledge of IMO regulations and port procedures.
