IB Project Manager (5956/IPM/ESS/GR)
Role Overview:
This role sits at the heart of our publishing process. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the development of our subject book projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to our high-quality standards. Working closely with editorial, design, production, and marketing teams, you will manage schedules, align resources, and keep everything running smoothly from concept to print and digital release.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills and at least three years of experience in educational publishing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, works well across departments, and is confident making decisions to drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and deliver multiple subject book projects simultaneously
- Develop clear production schedules, manage timelines, and ensure milestones are met
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including editorial, design, digital, and production
- Monitor project budgets and resources to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Anticipate risks, resolve issues, and proactively keep stakeholders informed
- Review content at various stages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals
- Liaise with external contributors, freelancers, and suppliers to maintain quality and deadlines
- Work closely with sales and marketing to support product launches and updates
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in educational publishing
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of editorial workflows and production processes
- Experience working with subject books (Maths, Science, or similar) is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and driven
