We are currently looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial team.
Your role as a Commercial Analyst
As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting data across various commercial functions to guide better business decisions. Through your analysis of trends, performance metrics, and business opportunities, you’ll support smarter decisions that ultimately enhance the experience of both pets and their parents. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, strong business acumen, and ability to tell stories with data — combined with your love for pets — will help you make a meaningful impact in this role!
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance by channel, store, category, and product.
- Reporting: Prepare regular and ad hoc reports (e.g., weekly/monthly sales reports, stock reports, margin analysis, ABC analysis).
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of commercial budgets and participate in the forecasting process using historical data and market trends.
- Promo Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and propose optimizations.
- Inventory Analysis: Monitor stock levels, analyze slow/fast movers, and support purchasing and inventory management decisions.
- Pricing: Participate in pricing policy analysis and formulation (price monitoring, benchmarking, elasticity analysis).
- BI Tools: Develop and automate dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
- Decision Support: Collaborate with Category Managers, Suppliers, Finance, and Operations to provide actionable recommendations.
- Market & Competition: Monitor market trends and competitive activity, preparing relevant reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in retail or FMCG).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- SQL knowledge (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights.
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, detail-oriented.
