Position Summary:
The Husbandry & On-Board Agent plays a critical dual role in supporting vessel operations both ashore and onboard during port calls. This position ensures the timely and accurate execution of husbandry services, including crew changes, delivery of provisions, spare parts, and other logistics—while also serving as the agency’s official representative onboard the vessel upon arrival and departure. A key focus of the role is the coordination of Free Pratique clearance ensuring the vessel’s lawful and efficient entry into port and smooth communication with all involved parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in arranging and coordinating crew changes (visas, transport, accommodation, port passes).
- Handle communication with port authorities, immigration, and customs for all husbandry-related matters.
- Monitor and coordinate delivery of ship supplies, provisions, spare parts, and technical services.
- Update and maintain operational documentation, logs, and reporting systems.
- Liaise with the Master, vessel owners, and third-party providers to ensure all operational requirements are met.
- Attend vessels upon arrival to assist with Free Pratique procedures and initial formalities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of port regulations and procedures & ensure all clearance procedures are completed efficiently, in line with national and port regulations.
- Report status updates to the agency operations team and clients in real-time.
- Respond promptly to unexpected operational issues or last-minute changes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ship agency operations, preferably in a port-facing or onboard role.
- Good understanding of port and maritime operations, especially husbandry services.
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office and operational platforms (E-dla, E-pilotage, Hellenic Maritime Single Window)
- Valid driving license

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including availability outside of office hours when needed as well as ability to work with official documents and authorities.

Working Conditions:
- Based in HQ’s office, with visits to vessels and port facilities (on-board agent)
- Shift work or on-call availability may be required, depending on vessel schedules.

This is an on-site position based in Pérama, Piraeus, Greece.
