Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for experienced Project Engineers to join our Energy Project Engineering Discipline of our Engineering Department in Athens.

Role Summary:

You will be working with a team of highly knowledgeable professionals, and you will undertake and perform accurately and confidently engineering, coordination and project team supporting tasks throughout the stages of international Oil and Gas Projects from tendering to startup and operation, leading effectively other team members under responsibility.

What will you need to do:
  • Undertake the role of Project Engineering Manager, as may be required for Energy projects, and supervise the Project Engineering Team, including external consultants and Engineering Subcontractors as applicable
  • Undertake the role of Project Engineering Coordinator, as may be required for Energy or Marine and Infrastructure projects, and coordinate the engineering disciplines, including external consultants and Engineering Subcontractors as applicable
  • Support the Project Engineering Manager in managing the day-to-day engineering activities for the assigned project
  • Coordinate the relevant discipline's activities and support the Project Engineering Manager
    • in monitoring and reviewing engineering progress
    • and controlling/ forecasting activities and deliverables according to schedule
  • Monitor the receipt and review cycle of 3rd parties (Engineering Subcontractors) and identify any problem areas
  • Expedite the engineering activities towards meeting the schedule
  • Contribute and record meeting notes for multidisciplinary meetings
  • Work in coordination with procurement and tendering departments
  • Review and/or prepare key project documents (P&ID's, line list, equipment list etc.)
  • Prepare other deliverables such as Material Requisitions, Scope of Work for services and Erection requisition for works, etc.
  • Perform technical bid evaluations for vendor offers and technical review of vendor drawings and documents
  • Follow up the receipt and review cycle for vendor documents and identify any problem areas
  • Review Engineering documents received by 3rd parties (Engineering Subcontractors / Vendors) and identify any problems/design issues.
  • Work in accordance with the requirements of company IMS procedures


Qualifications

  • BE or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, and MSc
  • PhD in relevant field of expertise would be a definite advantage
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (for candidates with no post-graduate studies, minimum 3 years for candidates with PhD) related to Oil & Gas Projects and detailed engineering experience in the field of expertise (mechanical or chemical engineering) with focus in Project Engineering
  • Technical competence in project engineering with strong technical background, and advanced analytical skills in basic and detailed engineering design from project feasibility stage to plant commissioning and startup
  • Previous exposure to international environment will be considered an advantage
  • Experience using relevant commercial software applicable to Oil & Gas projects
  • In depth knowledge of international codes & standards, international design guidelines & recommendations
  • Experience in Environmental regulatory requirements (local, international), review and understanding of local Environmental Laws would be a definite advantage
  • Mobility is highly desirable to participate in working teams at Archirodon's project home offices throughout the countries that Archirodon executes its EPC projects
  • Excellent command (written and oral) of the English language
