European Project Manager

The Athens Lifelong Learning Institute is a research and education institute. Our team represents a unique integration of multidisciplinary expertise and innovative thinking drawing on a comprehensive and diverse knowledge base, combining research methods, network development and policy analysis.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated European Project Manager who will be part of a very dynamic team on a mission to foster an environment of empowerment through lifelong learning, knowledge and personal development and to enhance innovation processes in the areas of human capital development

The position requires a strong understanding of current social problems. The successful candidate will have excellent and proven programme management skills including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, financial management and capacity building. The European Project Manager will be responsible for delivering all programme outcomes on time, within budget and of high standards and quality.

The ideal candidate must be organized, efficient, detail-oriented, discreet, creative, professional, with a positive attitude and an expert at multitasking with the ability to adapt to changing demands as they arise.

The Responsibilities of the position involve:

  • Manage project implementation, including coordination of current partnerships,
  • Monitor project timetables, identifying potential implementation risks, working on solutions,
  • Prepare and submit monitoring reports to responsible Managing Authorities,
  • Manage communication to third parties and stakeholders throughout project implementation,
  • Draft deliverables or supervise their quality,
  • Develop applications and technical Proposals indicatively under Erasmus+, CERV, AMIF, etc.
  • Participate in the formulation of vivid partnerships.

The Qualifications for the position are:

  • Bachelor and/or Masters’ degree ideally in social sciences,
  • Excellent command of Greek and English,
  • Excellent writing, editing and reviewing skills,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Excellent ICT skills [Microsoft Office and social media],
  • Travel availability,
  • Responsibility to adhere to very strict deadlines,
  • Organizational and management skills,
  • At least 1 year of prior experience in the management of EU Projects.
