A day in the life of the EU Digital Identity Wallet Architect

The role is centered around closely collaborating with our Architecture Reference Framework (ARF) team in defining the Reference Architecture and formulating the necessary Technical Specifications for the EU Digital Identity Wallet. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless interoperability across all Digital Identity Wallets within the EU territory.

Your main duties will be to:

• Lead and contribute to the definition of the Reference Architecture of the EU Digital Identity Wallet
• Identify, analyze and propose for adoption existing or emerging digital identity standards in line with the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) requirements
• Produce the required architecture and technical documentation
• Be engaged with relevant standardization bodies, industry groups, the Member States, and other stakeholders
• Provide strategic advice on standardization activities and trends, and their implications for our project
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

If you have :

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related discipline
• 10+ years of working experience in the IT industry
• Technical expertise in fields, such as distributed ledger technologies, cryptographic protocols, API standardization, interoperability, and data models
• Knowledge and experience in international standards, such as: SAML, CTAP, EACv2, oAUTH, OpenID Connect, DIDCOMM, W3C DID, ISO 18013 - mDL, AnonCreds, W3C Verifiable Credential
• Familiarity with the European and global regulatory environment in the field of digital identity, data protection, and cybersecurity
• Exceptional written, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders
• A strategic and solution-oriented mindset, capable of driving consensus and influencing outcomes in a complex standardization landscape
