About the role

There is currently a job opening for an Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator in the Health & Safety Department.

As an Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator you will report to the Head of Occupational Health and Safety & Environmental Department. You will be responsible to promote and cultivate a culture of occupational health and safety among employees and to oversee the management, maintenance, and administration of the Health and Safety Program.

What you will do:

• Provide guidance, expertise, and scientific oversight on matters related to the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in compliance with the ISO 45001:2018
• Conduct both scheduled and ad hoc inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and other OHS regulations
• Inspect the facilities and workplace environment to identify Health and Safety Risks, performs Risk Assessments, identify any Hazards in the workplace and monitor-control actions toward risks elimination, reduction, or control
• Plan and executes OH&S emergency drills, in collaboration with external parties when necessary
• Develop and implement recovery plans and coordinates the relevant response teams, including the Fire Safety Team and the First Aid Team
• Organize and manage emergency exercises
• Record and addresses emergencies, manage incident reports, explore potential causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Create training materials for effective employee OH&S training initiatives and organize training sessions.
• Monitor changes in legislation and ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.
• Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs, encompassing procedures, policies, newsletters, work instructions, and trainings
• Organize OH&S initiatives and coordinate OH&S promotion campaigns
• Establish contact with Airport Authorities to address OH&S issues, participate in inspections, monitor work accidents, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance while taking part in OH&S meetings.
• Compile and submit reports as required by local and foreign authorities on health and safety concerns

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant position
• Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
• Advanced knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

And you have competence in:

• Handling confidential information by demonstrating high sense of professionalism
• Communicating effectively in a structured manner, with all stakeholders
• Demonstrating positive attitude with a collaborative approach
• Multitasking, organizing, and managing time effectively
• Demonstrating attention to detail
