Service Engineer

We never stop growing. So we often need new VIKINGs to grow with us and we seek service engineer to recruit for the Service department:
Service Engineer
The role reports to Service Manager and daily tasks are assigned by the service Coordinators.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintenance and service inspections on life saving appliances according to all relevant rules and regulations including, annual and 5 yearly service according to SOLAS requirements and all applicable MSC guidelines, flag state rules, classification society rules and makers' instructions.
- Contact with customers and Shipping agent for boarding.
- Follow-up of service/project assignments from start to completion of final documentation.
- Provide full report to the Service Coordinator.
The position requires:
- Frequent travelling at short notice.
- Moderate to heavy physical work, working at height in maritime enviroment.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree at Mechanical / Naval engineering from technical school or university
- Preferably 2-3 years’ experience servicing life safety products
- Fluent communication skills both written and verbal in English
- Ability to build strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, self-motivated, able to work independently
- MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Driving License
