Job Description

A day in a life of a Application Support Agent...

As a Junior Application Support Agent you will be part of the application support team at the Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology develops and implements policies to make Europe fit for the digital age (DG CONNECT). You will be responsible for the support of the Digital Service Act (DSA). DSA regulates online intermediaries and platforms such as marketplaces, social networks, content-sharing platforms, app stores, and online travel and accommodation platforms. Its main goal is to prevent illegal and harmful activities online and the spread of disinformation. It ensures user safety, protects fundamental rights, and creates a fair and open online platform environment.

Your main duties will be:

Request fulfilment and Access right management
  • Receiving, prioritizing, categorizing and tracking incidents & Service Requests
  • Monitoring progress of tickets
  • Proactively creating tickets to report incidents
  • Keeping users informed on ticket status and progress
  • Incident Management
    • Receiving, prioritizing requests, qualifying and tracking incidents & Service Requests
    • Proactively create tickets to report incidents and requests
    • Keeping customers informed on requests' status and progress
    • Escalation and referral to other parts of the organization
  • User Management
    • Standard Tasks
    • Management of External and Functional Accounts
    • Other Institutions and Agencies users
    • Managing Functional mailbox
    • Answer phone calls from the contact center


Qualifications

If you have:
  • Experience in Application Support
  • Service and proactive minded
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Very good spoken and written knowledge of English and French (extra language is a plus)
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with European Commission is an asset
  • Experience with ticketing tool (Service Now) is an asset
