Senior PHP Backend Developer

As our new team member, your role would be to develop and maintain back-end web applications, primarily using PHP programming language.

More specifically, you will undertake tasks, such as:

• Building efficient, testable, and reusable PHP code.
• Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Integration with third-party services to ensure full compatibility.
• Documentation preparation for the developed code, including software design specifications.
• Design efficient APIs used by thousand devices to retrieve the configured content.
• Create advanced scheduler configurations to make sure content can be automatically updated.

To be a successful candidate, your professional profile should match the following criteria:

• You have a University/ College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics)
• Proven working experience of five (5) years or more in software development.
• Experience in object-oriented PHP (especially PHP7+)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English and Greek languages.
• Good understanding of version control systems, such as Git, and package management tools, such as Composer, NPM etc.
• Good knowledge of unit/Integration testing (PHPUnit)

Knowledge or experience in the below technologies will strengthen your candidacy:

• Experience with relational databases and REST APIs
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Familiarity with Laravel, Symfony, MySQL, Redis will be considered as an asset.
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker/Kubernetes
