Job Description

A day in the life of an Application Architect

As an Application Architect, you will be part of high performing and cross-functional team responsible for the design and maintenance of effective technical solutions. The role includes designing of applications and products for our clients, architecture comprising several components using the latest tools, technologies and frameworks. You will be working with existing and future clients to understand their challenges, explore and propose effective solutions and develop long-term trusted relationships.

Your main duties will be to:

• Design major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure
• Provide technical leadership to the application development team
• Perform design and code reviews
• Ensure that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• Provide inputs in the development of schedules and test plans, preparation of documentation based on analyst reports, and defining key project milestones
• Evaluate potential risk in projects
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements

Qualifications

If you have:

• University degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines
• At least 9 years of experience in IT sector
• At least 3 years of proven experience in IT architecture (application/data/infrastructure/network layer) and IT solution/software design
• Experience in the full development lifecycle of complex large-scale and multi-user applications and event-driven architecture
• Experience in using agile software development methodologies (i.e. Kanban, Scrum, and other lean techniques)
• Experience in web development using technologies like Angular or React (preferably using TypeScript)
• Experience with on-premise, virtualization and cloud-based Infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• In-depth understanding of Object-Oriented design/programming, familiarity with commonly used design patterns
• Strong experience in testing solutions and systems: writing test cases, test scripts, automation of testing and execution
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (e.g., Oracle SQL Developer)
• Deep knowledge of Interoperability technologies (e.g., web services, message-oriented middleware, service bus).
• Working Knowledge of Helm (or customize / sonnet) and another Kubernetes tooling.
• Certifications in Cloud Architecture (eg. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings and give technical presentations
