Domes Resorts & Reserves lands in Athens, introducing our first degustation restaurant in Thissio. Our talented executive Chef, Petros Dimas, alongside with a team of culinary experts will create the ultimate fine dining experience based on Greek creative cuisine. We are currently hiring for Athens, looking for highly energetic and passionate Junior Sommelier.
The Junior Sommelier is responsible for replenishing the wines within the wine cellar and restaurant and also serving and recommending wines to our guests while supporting the Head Sommelier in developing our food and wine pairings.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree, MBA or master’s degree in a related field will be considered an asset
- Certification as a sommelier is beneficial (WSET or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant position at a high end a la carte restaurant
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, a second or third language will be considered a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a very strong customer-focused approach
- Hands-on approach, positive attitude and flexibility
- Cost-conscious and able to maximize revenue
