Optimal on behalf of its client, a leading international marine bunkers and lubricants consulting company serving the global shipping market, is seeking a Back Office Specialist.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Verify all trade details, including pricing, quantity, and counterparties, to ensure accurate and timely settlement 

• Monitor supply at various port authorities and pricing details, coordinating with the trader, to provide the best solution for client inquiries 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date entry of trade details, pricing, and client data in SAP and internal systems 

• Assist in trade booking and ensure settlements comply with agreed terms and deadlines  

• Collaborate with the trader to negotiate better prices with local vendors when applicable 

• Perform daily reconciliation of trade data and positions between trading and internal systems 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field 

• 1-3 years of relevant working experience 

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) 

• Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset 

• Excellent command of English language 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
