Role Overview
As QC Director, you will oversee the QC department, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, safety and laboratory operations. You will lead a team of professionals, manage analytical processes and collaborate closely with QA, R&D and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all QC laboratories (chemical, microbiological, physicochemical, stability) ensuring full compliance with GMP, GLP and SOPs.
- Approve and evaluate analytical results, CoAs, raw data and investigate deviations.
- Lead OOS/OOT investigations, CAPAs, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Represent QC in GMP inspections (EOF, EMA, FDA) and client audits.
- Develop and manage testing schedules for raw materials, finished products, stability studies and method transfer activities.
- Oversee the development, validation and transfer of analytical methods (HPLC, UHPLC, GC, TOC Analyzer, dissolution, etc.).
- Monitor stability programs and support APQR compilation with QA.
- Manage QC budget, equipment and consumables.
- Lead, train and evaluate QC staff to ensure consistent policy implementation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with QA, Production, R&D and clients on technical, regulatory, and quality-related matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or MSc in Chemistry, Pharmacy or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical QC, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP, GLP and regulatory requirements.
- Strong experience in HPLC/UHPLC, dissolution, validation, method transfer and OOS management.
- Excellent command of English.
