Position: ACG Nurse

The ACG Health and Wellness Center at the American College of Greece is seeking one (1) candidate to cover full-time nurse position, at the Aghia Paraskevi campus under a 12 month definite term contract. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide medical consultation/care for the ACG community including assessment of illness/injuries, basic first aid, referral to further care and counseling on healthy lifestyles.
• Provide appropriate emergency response and crisis intervention.
• Carry out administrative tasks, process medical forms in English and Greek.
• Communicate with an ethnically diverse population of all ages individually and in classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

• Four-year university degree in nursing or health visitor from a Greek/European University or if from a third country recognition from DIKATSA.
• A nurse permit or health visitor permit from the Prefecture of Athens, and registration with the Nurse Association of Greece or Health Visitor Association.
• Minimum 5 years post registration experience.
• Updated CPR Training.
• Able to work independently without the need for personal and direct supervision.
• Able to work with a diverse population of various ages and cultures.
• Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and researching on internet.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Must be employable in the European Union/Greece

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in related area.
• Experience in Community Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health and/or First Aid/Emergency care desired.
