We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Media Manager with a background in managing political accounts to join our team. The ideal candidate will be politically savvy, possess excellent communication skills, and have a deep understanding of social media platforms and their role in shaping public opinion and engagement in the political landscape.

Job Title: Social Media Manager (Political Accounts)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to support political campaigns, initiatives, and messaging.
• Manage and maintain political social media accounts across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Create compelling and persuasive content tailored to political audiences while adhering to messaging guidelines and compliance regulations.
• Monitor social media trends, sentiment, and analytics to gauge public opinion, identify key issues, and inform campaign strategies.
• Collaborate closely with campaign teams, candidates, and stakeholders to align social media efforts with broader political objectives and messaging.
• Implement crisis communication strategies and rapid response protocols to address emerging issues and mitigate reputational risks on social media platforms.
• Engage with followers, constituents, and influencers in a timely and authentic manner, fostering dialogue and building relationships.
• Stay informed about relevant political developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in social media to optimize campaign performance and compliance.
• Provide regular reports and analysis on social media performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, and audience engagement to inform decision-making and strategy refinement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager with a focus on political accounts, preferably in a campaign or advocacy setting.
• Strong understanding of political dynamics, messaging strategies, and campaign tactics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen understanding of political rhetoric and messaging nuances.
• Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and ad targeting capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic political environment.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate sensitive political issues and engage with diverse audiences across social media platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to political advertising and social media communications.
