Job Title:        Digital Marketing Officer

Report to:      Fundraising & Communication Director

POSITION OBJECTIVES

To maximize the impact and exploit the potential of digital channels in order to support the Fundraising & Communications Department in increasing the number of donors and supporters and build a strong identity and brand awareness of MSF Greece. To support all digital activities of other MSF Greece departments and Operations in the country as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Strategy: In collaboration with the FR & Comms Director is developing and implementing a digital marketing strategy and activities to meet the fundraising and communication objectives of MSF Greece. Identifies growth opportunities for digital channels and works closely with colleagues in the FR & Comms Department building skills, experience and understanding of how digital marketing channels can support their work.

 

  • Web site performance: In close collaboration with the Digital Marketing Assistant and web developers is responsible for the development and maintenance of MSF Greece site aiming to improve user experience and site performance.

 

  • Campaigns: Develops and implements digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution in order to ensure donor/supporters acquisition, conversion, engagement and reactivation and build a strong brand image and identity according to FR & Comms priorities. Identifies objectives, KPIs, messages and audiences and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the coherent and effective implementation of these campaigns. He/she also develops and supports digital activities of other departments as well (e.g. Human Resources) and digital activities of the Operations in Greece when needed (e.g. digital health promotion activities).

 

  • Monitoring and evaluation: Monitors and reports the performance of digital marketing tools, channels and campaigns and assesses against KPIs. Carries out market research and studies analytics to understand the digital media environment, current and potential audiences’ behavior, needs, interests and motives and proposes new tools, campaigns and digital activities. Transforms data analysis to strategy.

 

  • Content: Proposes, develops or commissions content including writing persuasive texts, selecting appropriate images or developing original audiovisual content. Uses marketing automation tools to identify development opportunities through digital channels.

 

  • Community management: Responsible to ensure the engagement with target audiences, cultivate relationships with specialized groups such as key influencers and manage requests and questions of social media audiences.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or in a relevant discipline
  • A Master’s degree will be considered as an asset.
  • Experience (3-5 years) in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns in large organizations (charity sector preferred) to acquire new online donors and build awareness.
  • Substantial experience of managing paid digital marketing media channels.
  • A sound understanding of digital marketing KPIs and monitoring tools and an ability to use data to drive decision making.
  • Excellent digital copy writing skills.
  • Experience in Word Press, Web Analytic and other digital tools (SEO, Google AdWords, Google Analytics 4, Social Bakers, Talk Walker etc.), basic HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere) and Canvas.
  • Understanding of the current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Privacy legislation.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and maximizing productivity of vendors and consultants.
  • Video and audio editing skills to support content development.
  • Fluency in Greek and English both oral and written.

POST CONDITIONS

  • Position based in Athens MSF Greece HQ/Hybrid working conditions
  • Annual gross salary: based on MSF Salary Grid plus secondary benefits
