Job Summary

The Buyer role supports the Procurement Department, with main responsibilities including processing purchase requests, conducting research and evaluating offers, and managing orders at both domestic and international levels. The position holder will also handle system data management for certain materials and monitor subcontracting flows, always under the guidance of a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Request and Order Management: Process purchase requests, prioritize them, create Purchase Orders for domestic and international suppliers, and enter them into the ERP system.
  • Master Data Management: Create new supplier and material codes in the system, maintain item data, and ensure accuracy of technical descriptions.
  • Subcontracting Management: Monitor orders to subcontractors, coordinate raw material/component shipments, receive finished products, and perform corrective consumption adjustments in the system.
  • Research and Evaluation: Collect supplier quotations, assess pricing, terms, and quality, and recommend the most suitable partner.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manage complaints, and resolve quality or delivery issues

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Procurement Department or broader Supply Chain environment (e.g., Logistics, Warehouse Management, Purchasing Support).
  • Excellent command of English language (written & spoken).
  • Previous experience in multinational environments will be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of basic procurement principles and inventory management.
  • Experience with imports, logistics, or customs procedures is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally SAP MM module) and MS Office (especially Excel).
