ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of a leading Greek dairy company, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on professional for the position of:

Warehouse & Distribution Manager (5949/WDM/ESS/GR)

The Warehouse & Distribution Manager will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations. This includes managing the storage and flow of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods—both chilled and frozen—while ensuring accurate inventory control, timely deliveries, and optimal warehouse organization.

A key focus of the role will be the implementation and management of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and the continuous improvement of warehouse layout and operational processes to enhance efficiency and traceability.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all warehouse and distribution activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee warehouses handling raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products, with a focus on chilled and frozen storage areas.
Implement and maintain a WMS to ensure real-time inventory tracking, accuracy, and full traceability of goods.
Coordinate and optimize stock movements between production areas and warehouse facilities.
Manage product distribution to company-owned retail locations and external retailers, ensuring timely and complete deliveries.
Supervise and support warehouse staff and drivers, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including stock accuracy, rotation, order cycle time, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Production, Sales, Ex-van teams to ensure seamless operational alignment.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).

Requirements:

University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
Proven experience in warehouse layout planning and WMS implementation.
Solid understanding of cold chain logistics and frozen storage management.
Familiarity with ERP and WMS software platforms (a strong plus).
Knowledge of food safety regulations and warehouse hygiene standards.
Strong leadership with a hands-on and structured approach.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective time management and task prioritization abilities.
Customer-focused mindset to ensure service quality and delivery performance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
