We are looking for a dynamic, career-oriented individual to join our Legal Department in Thessaloniki, Greece for the position of Corporate Lawyer. This role is to be performed remotely in the beginning, until our office in Thessaloniki is fully established and operating – then it will be converted to an on–site job. 

 

Job description 
 

• Incorporation of subsidiaries/ branches and full management of their establishment  
  (knowledge of ΓΕΜΗ procedures & requirements, Central Registry of Beneficial Owners) 

• Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering & Know Your Client procedures, National UBO register submissions & Monitoring legal and compliance due diligence 

• Amendments of articles of Association (Τροποποιήσεις καταστατικών) 

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate, commercial, tax matters 

• Good knowledge of real estate contracts  

• Ensure compliance with national laws and internal corporate governance for the Company’s operations in Greece.  

• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for all matters governed by Greek legislation 

• Legal research on various databases (e.g. Nomos), Land Registry, stay up to date with changes in law & regulations 

• Manage communication with the local authorities (e.g., EFKA, AADE)  

• Drafting a wide range of legal documents (petitions, lawsuits, powers of attorney, contracts, agreements, appeals, etc.)  

• Coordinate legal aspects of payroll, including employment contract compliance and statutory requirements 

• Manage & issue residence permits (blue cards, ICT, Gloden Visa)  

 

Requirements: 

• A University/College degree in Law with relevant certifications and qualifications to practice law in Greece 

• Between 3-5 years of experience in a corporate environment, law office/law firm 

• Fluent in both Greek and English   

• Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously 

• Experience in immigration and/or GDPR compliance will be considered an advantage
