The role:

We are looking for a Legal Associate to work closely with our teams and support the day-to-day legal and compliance needs of our fast-growing international business. If rolling up your sleeves to solve challenges, collaborating globally, and driving results excite you, this role will put your skills to work from day one.

What You’ll Do
As a Legal Associate at Upstream, you will:

  • Draft, review, and manage standard contracts (NDAs, commercial agreements with clients and suppliers, and more) to support day-to-day business operations.
  • Manage corporate governance for Upstream group companies worldwide, including drafting Board of Directors and General Assembly resolutions, annual filings, and local compliance matters.
  • Support KYC/AML procedures and provide legal input for RFPs.
  • Assist with compliance projects of varying scope, exercising independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance, Account Management, Business Planning, Procurement, HR, and other teams, providing clear, actionable legal guidance.


Requirements

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone bright, self-driven, and ready to grow with us. You have:

  • A top-tier academic background in law; post-graduate qualifications are required
  • 2-4 years of experience, preferably in-house or in a law firm, practicing corporate or commercial law (international experience is a plus).
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal); French is a plus. Ability to draft contracts in English.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property law is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • A global mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Sharp attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and the ability to deliver results with creativity and commitment.
