Job Description

As an Application Tester, you will be part of the application support team at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE). You will be part of the testing team on the European database on medical devices (EUDAMED), an online platform that provides a living picture of the lifecycle of medical devices that are made available in the European Union (EU). It will integrate different electronic systems to collate and process information about medical devices and related companies (e.g. manufacturers). In doing so, EUDAMED aims to enhance overall transparency, including through better access to information for the public and healthcare professionals, and to enhance coordination between the different Member States in the EU.

Your main duties will be:

• Analyse user’s stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Maintain automation scripts
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Record and document results and compare to expected results
• Provide timely solutions
• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Provide support and documentation
• Coordinate a team of Junior and Medior Testers (Effectively managing, developing, and training the team, Planning and assigning the testing tasks in coordination with all relevant stakeholders)
• Prepare and report regular status reports of end-end testing progress and activity
• Act as a liaison between Testing Team, Development Teams and Project Management

Qualifications

If you have

• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge in end user assistance of information systems
• Problem-solving skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence and Zephyrs)

• Knowledge of Selenium
• Experience in a health-related sector
