We are looking for PHP Developers for our offices in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras
A day in the life of a PHP Developer
As a PHP Developer, you will be a part of a vibrant team of Web Developers.
Your everyday life will mainly consist of designing, developing, deploying, customizing and supporting technologies for large-scale European Union Institutions Projects Portfolio.
Your main duties will be:
- Design, develop, test and maintain web applications
- Perform a full range of complex programming tasks using a variety of web and application-based programming technologies and languages, keeping current with new programming techniques
- Develop and maintain code and application libraries, instructions, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and propose solutions
- Engage with UX and visual designers to implement highly intuitive user experiences
- Provide technical assessments, solution proposals and time estimates for development tasks
- Work and communicate with a talented team in a highly agile environment
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Be smart about choosing between fast and right

Qualifications
If you have
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related disciplines
- Excellent knowledge of OOP PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, MySQL, XML
- Experience building and consuming modern Web Services
- Strong understanding of GIT principles
- Ability to document processes and technical knowledge in clear, easily understood documentation
- Fluency in English (written and oral)

It would also be a plus if you had
- Understanding of Drupal 9 customization including expertise in Drupal’s API and hooks
- Knowledge of Drupal 9 theming, Twig templates/HTML
- Development methodologies such as Agile
- Experience with Elasticsearch or Apache Solr
- Familiarization with Kubernetes
- Knowledge in other distributions like Moodle and Limesurvey will be an asset
