International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a:

ICT Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the uninterrupted 24h seamless operation of the Airport Campus Network (LAN, Wi‑Fi, IP Telephony System, Firewalls), as well as Data Center infrastructure.
• Maintain business continuity and meets the goals and objectives in line with the business goals of Heraklion Crete International Airport. 
• Administers all active network equipment (e.g. switches, routers, access points, firewalls).
• Oversees campus network operations through NMS tools.
• Provides Level 2/3 support for network-related incidents and service requests.
• Cooperates with the ICT team and supports contractors for the immediate resolution of network malfunctions.
• Conducts root cause analysis and guarantees timely issued resolution.
• Manages and supports the IP Telephony System (Call Manager CUCM).
• Monitors and maintains firewall systems to ensure secure connectivity.
• Executes upgrades and improvements to enhance network stability and efficiency.
• Supports Data Center operations.
• Performs replacements and preventive maintenance activities.
• Applies and manages access control rules and network segmentation.
• Assists network projects involving upgrades, relocations, or expansions.
• Analyzes usage patterns and implement strategies for capacity planning and optimization.
• Supports audits and ensures compliance with internal and external IT policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT Systems Engineering or related field.  
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Networks or related field is considered a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in complex ICT environments.
• Experience with Cisco Environments and especially SD Access Technology & ACI is a plus.

• Vendor Certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto).
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
