Pre-Sales Engineer / Solution Architect, Athens, Onsite/Hybrid
Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer / Solution Architect to join a leading organization and play a key role in shaping technically sound and commercially viable solutions.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Pre-Sales Engineer / Solution Architect, you will act as the critical link between Commercial and Technical teams, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically feasible, financially sound and aligned with business objectives. You will contribute directly to improving project win rates, safeguarding margins and strengthening the organization’s technical credibility.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

Analyze business and technical client requirements

Translate requirements into technically feasible solutions

Design end-to-end architectures (applications, integrations, data flows, infrastructure)

Define technical assumptions and constraints

Document high-level architecture and key technical decisions
Technical Advisory Support in Commercial Processes

Participate in client meetings as technical advisor
-
Present and document proposed solutions
-
Provide technical effort estimations and complexity assessments
-
Contribute to timeline and pricing validation

Provide documented technical input prior to proposal submission
Tender & Proposal Support

Perform technical analysis of tender documents in collaboration with the Tender Department

Draft and review technical proposals and compliance matrices
-
Provide technical clarifications and alternative solution approaches
-
Ensure technical commitments are realistic and deliverable
Technical Risk Identification & Scope Alignment

Identify technical risks prior to project initiation
-
Analyze potential gaps between requirements and available capabilities
-
Propose alternative technical scenarios when necessary
-
Contribute to presales process improvements through post-project feedback
Cross-Functional Alignment

Collaborate with Sales, Development and PMO teams to ensure shared scope understanding

Support smooth transition from proposal to delivery phase

Transfer technical knowledge to delivery teams
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in presales, solution architecture or complex IT projects
-
Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud and security
-
Experience in technical support of public tenders considered an asset
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills
-
Strong analytical thinking and technical costing capabilities
