IT Project Manager, Athens, Onsite/ Hybrid
Recruitment Services is seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to join a leading organization and take ownership of the successful delivery of large-scale, high-impact IT projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while maintaining full accountability for project performance, financial outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, business acumen and technical understanding, with direct exposure to P&L management and executive-level decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership

Manage the full lifecycle of complex IT projects

Define and control project scope, objectives, timelines and resources

Oversee multiple workstreams within program structures

Represent the company in steering committees and executive forums
P&L & Financial Governance

Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control
-
Analyze variances between forecasted and actual costs
-
Manage change requests with financial impact assessment
-
Contribute to safeguarding positive project margins
Business Analysis & Value Realization

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
-
Develop business cases and cost–benefit analyses
-
Define and monitor project KPIs
-
Assess business value realization post go-live
Risk, Governance & Change Management

Identify and manage project risks
-
Implement structured change management processes
-
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations
-
Manage escalations at senior levels
Stakeholder & Contractual Management

Manage relationships with public sector entities and key stakeholders
-
Align technical delivery with business expectations
-
Negotiate scope adjustments where necessary

Oversee UAT, go-live and post-implementation reviews
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

7–10+ years of experience managing complex IT projects

Proven experience in high-budget public sector projects
-
Experience in P&L monitoring and financial oversight of projects

Ability to develop business cases and perform cost analysis

Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies
-
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certifications considered a strong asset
-
Excellent command of English
