IT Project Manager, Athens, Onsite/ Hybrid

Recruitment Services is seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to join a leading organization and take ownership of the successful delivery of large-scale, high-impact IT projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while maintaining full accountability for project performance, financial outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, business acumen and technical understanding, with direct exposure to P&L management and executive-level decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Leadership

• Manage the full lifecycle of complex IT projects

• Define and control project scope, objectives, timelines and resources

• Oversee multiple workstreams within program structures

• Represent the company in steering committees and executive forums

P&L & Financial Governance

• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control

• Analyze variances between forecasted and actual costs

• Manage change requests with financial impact assessment

• Contribute to safeguarding positive project margins

Business Analysis & Value Realization

• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications

• Develop business cases and cost–benefit analyses

• Define and monitor project KPIs

• Assess business value realization post go-live

Risk, Governance & Change Management

• Identify and manage project risks

• Implement structured change management processes

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations

• Manage escalations at senior levels

Stakeholder & Contractual Management

• Manage relationships with public sector entities and key stakeholders

• Align technical delivery with business expectations

• Negotiate scope adjustments where necessary

• Oversee UAT, go-live and post-implementation reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

• 7–10+ years of experience managing complex IT projects

• Proven experience in high-budget public sector projects

• Experience in P&L monitoring and financial oversight of projects

• Ability to develop business cases and perform cost analysis

• Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies

• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certifications considered a strong asset

• Excellent command of English
